Jan 23, 2018 - The popular media centre software Kodi has been updated to 17.6. Much depends on the flavour of operating system you are running,.
To avoid data loss or other problems, we recommend that you backup before starting the Kodi installation. The following tutorial is for Windows operating system.
Follow these steps carefully.
Don't forget to close the XBMC before starting the installation of Kodi.
1- Select Next >> I Agree.
2 – Select Next >> Next. Make sure all installation components are selected.
3 – Select Install. Once the installation is confirmed, will pop up a window asking you to copy the settings and XBMC library data to KODI and also to make a backup copy of XBMC. If you have made a backup before installation, in this case there's no reason to worry about. Select Yes.
4 – If there is no problem, then a window will appear stating that the settings and library data have been moved to the new Kodi userdata location. Select OK >> Finish.
5 – When entering the Kodi for the first time, you will see a message, stating that the XBMC configuration has been moved to a new location. If you have any doubts, please visit the official website http://kodi.wiki/view/Migration. To finalize the process all you have to do is select OK. Enjoy your new KODI.
